The Copa Mundial is a cult classic from the three stripes and one of our personal favourite football boots. Unchanged for decades, the design has now permeated into street culture, starting with the Copa 17.1 Ultraboost, which had the likes of Ronnie Fieg collaborating with adidas to put their own spin on the silhouette.
Now in 2018, adidas have updated the model to deliver the Copa 18+ TR Premium. Unlike the previous models which have always featured thick, plush leather, these take a more minimalist, deconstructed appraoch using soft nubucks and primeknit with a sock-fit collar and that classic BOOST midsole.
In a monochrome finish, these would both benefit from some white waxed laces with gold aglets to match the gold accents along the shoe, as well as having the waxed laces complement that buttery nubuck.
