Whatever your thoughts on Kanye West and his apparel and footwear designs, there’s no denying the impact he has had on the scene. Taking the world by storm with his original 350 Boost design, he has now re-engineered the shoe, making subtle but very noticeable adjustments in his new designs. Originally known as the Yeezy Boost 550, most recently photos have been branding these as the Yeezy 350 Boost V2. We suspect that we that the final name of the model is not necessarily set in stone at this stage. Images of these in multiple colourways have surfaced, including Kanye West donning them in public with wife Kim Kardashian.
The new model features slightly high tongue and heel and removal of the heel tab. We also see a slightly updated midsole, with greater curvature. The symmetrical stitching down the middle of the shoe remains, though we now see each colourway donning entirely different Primeknit patterns. A common feature of all the models however, is the thick coloured stripe emblazoned on the outer knit with the tag “SPLY-350” – clearly indicating Kanye’s intention to strengthen the promotion of his Yeezy Supply branding.
