The launching of a new Yeezy sneaker series last November 2019 buzzed up sneaker communities worldwide. It is fresh, it is an upgrade, and it is different. Originally planned to be next in the line of the 350 V2 lineups as 350 V3, it took its name into the shoe market under the moniker Adidas Yeezy Boost 380.
And just four months later, a new colorway was released. Dropped in a reflective and non-reflective variation, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 380 Mist comes in, retailing at $250 and $230, respectively.
The engineered Primeknit upper introduces a wide forefoot area, incorporated with visible perforations for a well-ventilated experience. It comes in a dark and light gray camouflage design, following Kanye’s past colorways in neutral tones. A divisive seam runs across the center, creating two mirroring sides on the sneakers while infinity laces snake its way up the Primeknit. More neutrals hit the midfoot via the plastic mesh accent in a light tan-light orange hue, expressing more of that organic look. The 380 midsoles switched up the ribbed detailing from the 350 V2s for a smooth, matted semi-translucent design, with a full-length BOOST cushioning, retouched at the heels for boosted comfort. Lest we forget, the dramatically angled heel, elevated to standards to give better impact during gaiting. Lastly, a dark gum outsole with herringbone patterns completes the underfoot, providing solid traction.
