Suede and nubuck are one of the sought after materials on any high quality footwear - whether it be sneakers or boots. However taking care of them can be a lot of effort. That's why we recommend the following steps to clean and protect your suede sneakers and boots:
Protecting Suede and Nubuck
We recommend the Liquiproof stain and water repellant be sprayed on all new shoes while they are perfectly clean. This pump action spray has no aerosol components, and is perfectly safe for delicate materials. Apply a coat to the shoes by spraying and then applying using the Liquiproof Triple Head Brush. Let this dry for ten minutes before applying another coat. Don't forget to brush it all the way in so it is saturated. Leave it for 24-48 hours.
Once protected, keep your shoes clean from dust to ensure the protective layer remains fully active. The benefit of Liquiproof is that unlike the other brands of stain and waterproofing sprays, it is permanent.
Cleaning Suede and Nubuck
It is inevitable that you will get scuffs and dirt on your shoes; however you can feel safe to clean it up with the SneakersER cleaning solution, or the Liquiproof Life Essentials Pack, which contains the bio-cleaner. Both of these are safe on suede and nubuck, normally delicate materials. Follow the instructions on the packet for best results.
